hook ‘em horns
Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life - and travel - leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks - on your body or on your heart - are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.

Being tender and open is beautiful. As a woman, I feel continually shhh’ed. Too sensitive. Too mushy. Too wishy washy. Blah blah. Don’t let someone steal your tenderness. Don’t allow the coldness and fear of others to tarnish your perfectly vulnerable beating heart. Nothing is more powerful than allowing yourself to truly be affected by things. Whether it’s a song, a stranger, a mountain, a rain drop, a tea kettle, an article, a sentence, a footstep, feel it all – look around you. All of this is for you. Take it and have gratitude. Give it and feel love.

DIY: Coffee cup ring
I saw this on a blog from Harper’s Bazaar today and just HAD to make one, it was so cute. So I ran to Hobby Lobby to see what they had to offer. Instead of miniature teacups I found miniature coffee mugs, complete with saucer, spoon and coffee! As soon as I got home, I super-glued it to the ring base and they are currently drying now. After the suggested 24 hour wait period is up I’ll show you how it turned out! But in the meantime check out what my inspiration was:
